Meg is an award-winning writer with more than 20 years' experience in journalism and public relations. She is the author or co-author of nine books, including two for writers: The Everything Guide to Writing a Book Proposal and Everything Get Published, 2nd Edition, both published by Adams Media. Her other book credits include The Good-for-You Marriage (Adams Media), COPD For Dummies (Wiley), The Birth Order Effect for Couples (Rockport/Fair Winds),  New York Yesterday & Today (Voyageur Press) and Making Millions For Dummies (Wiley).

Meg's journalism honors include awards from the Iowa Associated Press Managing Editors, Women in Communications, the Maryland-Delaware-D.C. Press Association, Gannett, New York State Associated Press, and the William Randolph Hearst Foundation. She also is an accomplished public speaker, winner of the 1993 Toastmasters International District 19 humorous speech contest. She has appeared on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" and served as a story consultant for CBS' "60 Minutes." She received presentation training from Ridge Associates, which provides training services to Fortune 500 companies.

A native of Iowa, Meg now lives in Upstate New York with two cats and an alarmingly extensive collection of pink flamingoes.
